The Geelong Brush Co. was founded in 1936 by Victor C. Durran, manufacturing to a small and specialised industrial market. Taking advantage of improving technology, the Company soon gained entry in to larger and wider sectors of the Australian Brushware market.
With Mr Durran's retirement in 1975, his two sons, Jim and Ken, took control of the Company. During this time the Geelong Brush Co. rapidly expanded its operations into all states of Australia and is now the largest volume manufacturer of brushware products in Australia.
Jim has now assumed ownership of the entire business. His son Ross, in the role of general manager, represents the third generation of family management in the Geelong Brush Co.
The Geelong Brush Co. continues to invest in the latest technologies available and has now the facility to manufacture brushware products at a price and volume which cannot be rivaled by our domestic and international competitors.
It's modern, versatile plant enables large orders to be delivered within very short lead times. The Geelong Brush Company remains the last bastion of local manufacturing capability for many brush ware product lines in the Australian marketplace.
Realising the export potential in both the South Pacific region and South East Asia, the Geelong Brush Co. has embarked on a rigorous program to extend its markets outside Australia.
The Geelong Brush Co. is constantly updating and improving its product range and can manufacture to its customer's individual needs as part of its overall philosophy of service.
